Chatbot for Horoshop and Prom.ua: how to connect your catalog
A bot sells well only when it knows your products: prices, availability, and photos. If your shop is on Horoshop or Prom.ua, you don’t need to add products manually—there are two ways to connect your catalog. Here’s how they differ and how to avoid selling something that’s already out of stock.

Why does the bot need your catalog?
A bot without a catalog gives generic replies. With a catalog, it knows the price, availability, and details of each product. It shows product cards with photos and a “Buy” button, and won’t recommend items that are out of stock.
Two ways: feed or API
- Feed (XML or YML) — a product export your store can already generate. The fastest way to get started: paste a link, and your products appear in the catalog.
- API — direct store integration. In addition to products, LEO Chat imports store orders for analytics and can write product descriptions back to your store.
Start with a feed and switch to the API later—your products will carry over without duplicates.
Method 1. Horoshop or Prom.ua feed
- Copy the product feed URL from your store: an XML feed for Horoshop or a YML feed for Prom.ua.
- In your LEO Chat dashboard, open “Catalog” → “Sources & Import” → “+ Source” and choose Horoshop or Prom.ua.
- Paste the link and, if you like, specify how often to update the catalog, in hours.
- After the first sync, message the bot “catalog” or a product name to see product cards with photos, prices, and a “Buy” button.
Each sync updates product names, prices, availability, and photos. It won’t overwrite descriptions edited in Textory, A/B tests, or channel posts. The YML feed also works with other platforms: for example, you can connect an OpenCart store using a YML export module.
Method 2. Direct API integration
Prom.ua. In your Prom account, go to “Settings” → “API token management” and create a token with “read and write” access to products and orders. The token is valid for up to a year. If the owner’s password changes, tokens are revoked—create a new one in that case.
Horoshop. In the Horoshop admin panel, go to “Settings” → “Admins” and create a separate administrator, for example, “api”. You’ll need their login, password, and store domain to connect; the password is stored encrypted.
Next, in LEO Chat: “Channels & Integrations” → the “Prom.ua (API)” or “Horoshop (API)” card → paste your details → “Connect.” LEO Chat will check access and create a catalog source that updates automatically.
What API offers beyond a feed
- Store orders in analytics — every 15 minutes, LEO Chat imports new orders with products, totals, and UTM data, then matches them to chat customers by phone number or email.
- Descriptions back to your store — publish an improved product description to your store in one click, with the previous version saved in case you want to revert.
- A/B tests for product descriptions — variants rotate, and results are measured by store orders.
Prices and availability: how to avoid selling out-of-stock products
The bot won’t recommend out-of-stock products to shoppers. So the key is keeping your catalog updated often enough. With API, it updates automatically every 6 hours; for a feed, you set the interval yourself. If you urgently change a price, start a manual sync with the “Sync” button in the source card.
When an item is back in stock after a sync, the bot automatically messages buyers who tapped “Notify me when available”—with a product card and a “Buy” button.
Where the bot will sell your catalog
One catalog for every channel. The website widget can be added to Horoshop and Prom just like any website—with a single line of code. The same catalog works in the Telegram bot and the OLX auto-reply. To see how many orders came from conversations with the bot, read how to track chatbot sales. Have a WordPress store? There’s a separate guide for it: chatbot for WooCommerce.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better: a feed or API?
A feed is the fastest way to get started, but it covers products only. API syncs products, brings store orders into analytics, and writes descriptions back to your store. You can switch from a feed to API anytime, without duplicates.
Does LEO Chat change anything in my store?
Only when you choose: product descriptions are published to your store when you click “Publish.” You can disconnect access at any time, and your products will remain in the LEO Chat catalog.
What should I do if the store “denied access”?
Check your Prom.ua token or Horoshop admin login and write permissions. A Prom.ua token is also revoked when the account owner changes their password—create a new one in that case.
